You can often find deals in stores that are not coupons, but great offers. You can find deals from companies for things like free movie tickets, free beachware, free sunscreen, or even free water park passes. Look for starbursts. Those are the graphics that add a small burst of color, usually red or yellow to the corner of a package and say, “For more details see back.” When you start seeing the starbursts you’ll find deals.
Make a plan to do a little hunting during your next trip to the store. Go look for special marked boxes. Places to look should include:
- Pharmacy
- Frozen
- Meat
- Cereal, Cereal, Cereal!
- Chips and Snacks
- Liquor Department
- Refrigerated section: Juice, Pillsbury brands
- Cleaning
Places you should check immediately also include special displays. We are in post season football, which for me means free standing shippers of snack foods. Check those shipper over with a keen eye. Look for coupons or rebates attached to the units.
Deals are often printed on the corner of a box, or on a peelie attached to a bag. Also look at the backsides of cereal boxes.
Pillsbury often has movie cash offers on Old El Paso, and Kelloggs offers all kinds of things on cereal.
