Digital Coupons Everytime
Oct 13, 2017
The coupon world is constantly changing. 20 years ago, almost all coupons were printed in Sunday newspaper inserts. 10 Years ago we saw an explosion of printable, or “Online” coupons. We were all printing stacks of coupons and cutting them out with our scissors. Today, we are again changing couponing by offering apps and digital coupons. Simple easy, paper free coupons that really stack up.
Digital coupons come in many different forms. There are Manufacturer driven coupons that are issued on their websites to be redeemed with upc codes in stores. Third party coupons and rebates are services for manufacturers to use to get digital coupons in the hands of consumers. There are also retail store designed digital coupons that allow stores to offer savings to customers directly.
Third party apps are the most popular in the United States. Apps like Plenti Ibotta Checkout 51 or Coupons.com are apps that offer you many digital coupons or rebates while you shop. Some require you to submit your receipts for proof of purchase, while others like Ibotta work directly with County Market’s Max Card to eliminate extra steps for the customer.
Then there are store driven apps. My County Market’s store driven app is fantastic. It’s the future of digital coupons! That’s a big statement, and it’s true. The future is filled with offers that come from manufacturer’s, to you through your phone. Our app even includes offers for store brands, and pantry staples like Milk or grapes. Right now you can get anywhere from 20-40 digital offers on any given day at your local County Market store, with your phone.
To save big money, you need to open your app everytime you shop at the store. Everytime. I’ve been saving money with my app for about 2 years. It started off slow. The program only has 7 or 8 offers when it first started. It has grown as more customers are aware of and use the app. Today, there are $43 in My Offers. Real money. All I have to do is “Clip” it with my finger. When I check out, I scan my Max Card, which is also recorded in my phone app for my convenience. I earn the money, and use it to buy whatever I want!
There are big things in store for the phone app as we enter the last part of this year. This program is growing fast, and will continue to provide more offers as we start using the phone app on a regular basis. If you have not added the app to your phone, do so by going to your app store, and searching My County Market. It’s free, and gives you real savings everyday.
