Feed a Crowd Fast with Oven Baked Tacos
Sep 15, 2017
Do you ever find yourself in a mad dash to throw together a dish for an event or gathering? Even though you may have known about said event for over a month and you have received several notifications via email and Facebook?
Hypothetically, there even might be a situation where you volunteer to throw a party and then act like a crazy person all weekend to pull it off. And usually no one is the wiser as you nonchalantly shrug and say, “Oh, my house isn’t that clean, but thank you, and it didn’t take long to make ten different sides!"
I think the reality is, at some point, everyone might resemble this:
When you are want to throw together a fast and filling dinner that will feed a crowd, oven baked tacos are perfect. It is a quick fix, and most ingredients you will have on hand. It is also a great opportunity to create a taco bar of toppings to add on after baking.
PICKY EATER ALERT – This recipe is not spicy. You can switch out regular salsa or taco sauce for a spicier variety, but this base recipe is mild to suit all taste buds. As you are filling the taco shells before baking, you can create a variety of topping options to cater to the likes and dislikes of your household, or to create a fun taco variety as a party dish.

This dish puts a fun spin on the traditional taco with very little extra effort and tastes great. I may or may not have devoured three tacos last night the second they came out of the oven. As you can see I lean towards the spicy side:

I hope this recipe is a good go to for your busy life. As football season kicks in, this is a perfect side dish to go along with the game. Or in my case, late night dinner after a drum lesson, school function, and homework. It is the all-purpose meal!
Here is the recipe. Enjoy!
